Identical twins with almost identical names entered Greenwich Hospital on the same day, giving birth to boys less than an hour apart.

Maria Arua Tulud, the younger twin, checked into the hospital Wednesday and called her sister to tell her the news.

She was told that her sister, Maria Aurea Segunial, also had started labor and was on her way to the hospital.

They ended up delivering just 39 minutes apart, with the oldest sister first.

“This is just like twins,” Tulud said of the two boys. “It’s just different parents.”

Afterward, the 30-year-old sisters shared a hospital room. And they’ll be going home to the house where they both live with their husbands.
