Probe Of Child’s Death Moves To Georgia

Compiled From Wire Services

Colorado detectives set up shop in this Atlanta suburb Thursday to conduct interviews in the strangling of a 6-year-old beauty queen, while her parents secluded themselves with family and posted a sign on the red brick home: “To the press: no comment.”

John and Patricia Ramsey spent much of the day holed up in the home of Patricia Ramsey’s parents. They have been there since Tuesday, when they buried their daughter, JonBenet, in nearby Marietta. The Ramseys lived in the area before moving to Boulder, Colo., in 1991.

Police assigned a detective and office space to help five Boulder investigators. The body of JonBenet, last year’s Little Miss Colorado, was discovered the day after Christmas in the basement of the family’s home in Boulder, about eight hours after she was reported kidnapped.

Roswell Sgt. Dennis Nelson declined to say who would be questioned. “At this time, there have been no arrest warrants issued, and there are no suspects.”
