Special Reward Offered For Information On Tire Slashers

From Staff And Wire Reports

Secret Witness is offering a special $200 cash reward for information that leads to the arrests of vandals who slashed tires on more than two dozen vehicles on Spokane’s South Hill last Saturday and Sunday.

Police received 15 reports of tires that were cut - all in the 2600 and 2700 blocks of East 27th and East 33rd avenues. All occurred sometime late Dec. 27 and early Dec. 28.

In some cases, only one tire was slashed. On several cars, all four were destroyed.

Because of the total amount of damage from the vandalism, those responsible could be tried on felony charges. The damage is estimated at $4,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call Secret Witness at 327-5111. Callers do not have to give their names to be eligible for the cash reward.

Secret Witness is a civilian organization not affiliated with law enforcement. Callers are encouraged to use a code name or number for future contact about the cash reward.
