2 Men Arrested In Pot Bust At Furniture Refinishing Shop

From Staff And Wire Reports

Drug agents seized 150 pounds of marijuana and nearly $10,000 in cash Thursday at a north Spokane furniture refinishing business.

The estimated street value of the pot is $210,000, authorities said.

Levi B. Williams, 42, and Robert L. Robinson, 42, were arrested at Magic Strip Furniture Stripping and Refinishing, 5218 N. Market. Williams owns the business, police said.

The six-month investigation began when drug enforcement agents in Texas told Spokane authorities that Williams was bringing marijuana to Spokane, said a spokesman with the Spokane Regional Drug Task Force.

Investigators estimate Williams and Robinson transported more than 1,000 pounds of marijuana into Spokane during the past year.

Williams was booked into the Spokane County Jail on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.

He was also served an outstanding Montana arrest warrant charging him with forgery.

Robinson was booked for conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance.
