Clark’s Penguins Nudge Sasquatch
Angie Rosales scored 17 points for Clark College (25-4, 12-1) Thursday night, leading the Penguins past Community Colleges of Spokane (21-11, 7-5) 57-54 in the first round of the NWACC women’s basketball tournament at Mount Vernon, Wash.
The Sasquatch had several chances to pass the top-ranked Penguins in the final minutes, but failed to connect on easy layups and were eliminated.
Spokane plays Bellevue in a loser-out game today at 1 p.m.
Massingale honored
