Event To Show Risks Of Drunken Driving

The Spokane County Sheriff’s Department will stage a drunken-driving incident at Deer Park High School this morning as part of its “Sober Roadways” program.

The mock crash involves two students in a car who collide with a pickup truck filled with students. The driver of the truck is drunk.

Participants include the Washington State Patrol, Sheriff’s Department, Spokane County Fire District 4, Deer Park Ambulance, Northwest Medstar and Lauer Funeral Home.

The program runs from 9 to 11 a.m.
