Teen Robs People In Car Near Atm

A teenager jumped into the back of a car and demanded money from the occupants at an automatic teller machine on the South Hill Wednesday, police said.

The robbery happened about 6:15 p.m. at the Washington Trust Bank’s teller machine, 611 E. 31st.

The teen, who was described as having black, curly hair, displayed a handgun, demanded money and ran off, police said. He remained at large late Wednesday.
