In Town Of Rising Sun, Turkeys Take Short Flight

In Rising Sun, Ind., a radio station sponsored a turkey drop, in honor of the 1980s sitcom “WKRP in Cincinnati.” In one episode, the station dropped live turkeys, not realizing the birds could not fly.

Richard Sanders, the actor who played Les Nessman in the show, was on hand for the re-creation. But this time, he dropped toy turkeys.
