Cat Burned Over Most Of Its Body Dies After Finding Way Home

From Staff And Wire Reports

A kitten burned over most of its body dragged itself home before dying at a veterinary clinic.

The Eugene accounting firm of Blackburn and Lindly is offering $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in 4-month-old Simba’s death.

The nature of the injuries indicate Simba was burned not far from home, but so far, police have no suspects.

The kitten dragged itself back to the door of its home Wednesday afternoon. Efforts by Greenhill Humane Society workers to sedate the cat and treat its wound at the Companion Animal Clinic failed, and the cat died Wednesday night.
