Montefusco In Trouble

Compiled From Wire Services

Hours after making bail on similar charges, former major league pitcher John “The Count” Montefusco, 47, allegedly violated a restraining order and assaulted his ex-wife.

The 1975 National League Rookie of the Year was arrested Oct. 16 after he allegedly went to the Marlboro home of his former wife, cut the telephone wires and would not let her leave for an hour and a half.

Montefusco, 47, was charged with aggravated sexual assault, making terroristic threats, aggravated assault, burglary, simple assault and criminal mischief.

About 4-1/2 hours after posting $60,000 bail Friday, Montefusco showed up at the house again, according to a police statement.
