But only the truly hip know much about Jamiroquai, the British band that led with 10 award nominations, winning three awards for “Virtual Insanity.” Above, lead singer Jay Kay makes the scene. Representing the rickety rock establishment, the Rolling Stones, noted band of the ‘60s, and U2, noted band of the ‘80s, showed up to try and create their own ‘90s buzz.
