Man With Machete Terrorizes Rv Park

From Staff And Wire Reports

An Illinois man with a machete terrorized guests of a Coeur d’Alene motel and motor home park during a drunken weekend tirade.

Apparently angry over receiving a note evicting him from the Cedar Motel and RV Park on Friday evening, the man threatened to “cut people up for his troubles,” according to a police report.

The man continued shouting threats during the next several minutes while arming himself with the 30-inch knife and starting for the manager’s office.

A camper eventually talked the man, who appeared drunk, into putting the knife down, according to the police report. No one was injured.

The man was last seen walking into the campground’s shower room. Officers found the machete tucked between boards on a picnic table near the man’s camp site.
