Cowboys Accuser Guilty

Nina Shahravan, 24, a former topless dancer, pleaded guilty in Dallas to perjury, admitting she alone came up with the idea of falsely accusing two Dallas Cowboys players of sexual assault last Dec. 30.

The penalty phase of the trial begins today, and the state plans to call Cowboys Michael Irvin and Erik Williams, who were the subject of her accusations. She faces up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine and prosecutors will seek the maximum penalty.

Jim Kekeris, a formerr football star at Missouri, died in Columbia, Mo., of a heart attack at 73.

A tackle, fullback and place-kicker, he was an All-Big Six performer from 1944-46, team MVP in the 1945 Cotton Bowl and a second-team All-America in 1946. He later was voted to the all-time Cotton Bowl team.

He also played two seasons in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers.
