Nikki McCray, who led the Columbus Quest to the first American Basketball League championship last season and was the league’s MVP, has jumped to the rival WNBA.

McCray, who signed a three-year contract, said she made the switch because she believes the WNBA offers better marketing and exposure.

“I looked at both options,” she said. “I felt the WNBA was the best option for me. It was a tough decision. I went back and forth daily.”
