Women’s Group Honors Chenoweth

U.S. Rep. Helen Chenoweth has been named Statesman of the Year by the conservative group Concerned Women for America.

The two-term Idaho Republican will receive her award during the group’s national convention Oct. 2 in Alexandria, Va.

Concerned Women for America pushes for anti-abortion legislation and organizes boycotts of gay-friendly businesses.

The group has about 600,000 members and also works on policy issues concerning pornography, religious persecution, sexuality and education.
