Murriel Page scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds Sunday as No. 14 Florida defeated No. 6 Vanderbilt 62-46 in Nashville, Tenn., in a battle for second place in the Southeastern Conference.

The teams started the day in a three-way tie for second with Alabama. The Crimson Tide lost to SEC leader Tennessee.

Page, who played all 40 minutes, was limited to six points in the first half. She scored six consecutive points to open the second half, and her jump shot with 14:25 to play capped a 20-8 run and lifted Florida (16-5, 7-2) to a 43-27 lead.

Vanderbilt (15-4, 6-3) got no closer than 10 points the rest of the way.

At Chapel Hill, N.C., Chanel Wright scored a season-high 26 points and Tracy Reid had 19 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Tar Heels (17-4, 7-3 ACC) to a victory over the Tigers (16-5, 8-3).

Nikki Teasley added 16 points and a career-high 11 assists to help knock Clemson out of a first-place tie with North Carolina State. Itoro Umoh went 12 for 12 at the line on her way to 21 points to lead Clemson.
