WSU Woman Attacked Outside Dormitory

Compiled From Wire Services

A man attacked a Washington State University student outside her dormitory Monday night, authorities said.

The assault occurred between 10 and 10:30 p.m., when the woman went outside to get some air, said Mike Kenny of campus police.

The victim, whose name and age weren’t released, told police she was standing near the Stephenson North dormitory on the Pullman campus when a man grabbed her from behind.

She said she struggled with him before breaking free and running away.

The woman received a possible knife wound on one arm and scrapes on the other, Kenny said. She was treated at Pullman Memorial Hospital and released.

The victim didn’t get a good look at her attacker, Kenny said. She said he appeared to be white and at least 5 feet 10 inches tall.

Anyone with information is asked to call the WSU Police Department at (509) 335-8548.
