WSU Opens Baseball Season With Win At San Diego State

Wade Parrish threw seven innings of two-run, six-hit ball to lead Washington State to a 13-6 season-opening baseball victory over San Diego State at Tony Gwynn Stadium Thursday.

Parrish (1-0), led the way on the mound, striking out four in his seven innings of work. The win for the Cougars (1-0) gave WSU its first season-opening win since 1993 when it beat Eastern Oregon State.
