Finally, Miss America has a good home to call her own. The world’s most famous beauty pageant, which for 75 years had no identifiable headquarters, has taken up residence in the new Sheraton hotel next to the new Convention Center in Atlantic City, N.J. There are display windows filled with pageant memorabilia as well as glass cases with winners’ gowns and contestants’ custom-made shoes. Visitors can pose for pictures under a life-size bronze statue of longtime master of ceremonies Bert Parks.
