Comments Wanted On Traffic Flow Change In/Around Garland Area

The city of Spokane transportation department is accepting comments through Wednesday on a proposal to change the traffic flow at the intersection of Garland Avenue and Monroe Street.

Proposed changes include left turn lanes on Garland, both east and west of Monroe, and removing a total of five parking spaces from corners at the intersection.

Work on the project is expected to be done this summer.

The changes are being considered because of increased traffic and increased accidents.
