Police Solve Stolen Car Cliffhanger

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Massachusetts couple who had stopped to use the restroom at an Oregon Coast viewpoint returned to find their vehicle missing.

Believing it was stolen, they contacted state police.

A trooper found the car near the bottom of a nearby cliff, about 150 feet down. Apparently the gear had not been set in the park position, and the vehicle rolled off the cliff while the couple were in the restrooms.

Police did not identify the couple. The incident occurred Thursday.
