Conservation District Sponsors Camp

Young people interested in natural resources can apply for the Inland Empire Natural Resource Youth Camp.

The annual camp is for boys and girls between the ages of 13 and 16 who live in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. It is sponsored by the Kootenai-Shoshone Soil Conservation District. This year’s camp runs from June 14-21.

The camp combines fun with learning in a safe environment, according to a Conservation District press release.

The purpose of the camp is to develop leadership skills and provide information that will help kids make wise decisions about management of soil, water, forests, wildlife and conservation planning.

Applications are available at the Kootenai-Shoshone Soil Conservation District office, 1620-B Northwest Blvd., Suite 101, Coeur d’Alene. For more information, call (208) 667-2548.
