Woman Hospitalized After Rollover Near Ritzville

From Staff Reports

A Sprague, Wash., woman remained hospitalized late Wednesday after she was involved in a one-car accident near Ritzville, Washington State Patrol troopers said.

Carol F. Vela, 54, sustained a broken jaw, clavicle and other fractures when her car flipped on Interstate 90, troopers said.

She was eastbound on I-90, about 15 miles east of Ritzville, at 2:35 p.m. when her car went into the median. It traveled more than 150 feet, came back into traffic, skidded into the median again and flipped twice, troopers said.

Vela was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, troopers said. , DataTimes
