Associated Press

EUGENE, Ore. — Alexandria Anderson won three gold medals, and Kenneth Hall set a national high school triple jump record at the USATF Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships, which concluded Sunday.

Anderson, 17, of Chicago, won the young women’s 400 meters in 52.87 seconds on Sunday. She won her first gold of the meet on Saturday in the 200 and followed that with a victory in the long jump.

Hall, a Baton Rouge, La., native jumped 54-10 1/4 to break the previous mark of 53-11 1/4 set by Greg Yeldell in 1998.
