Fire destroys cycle shop

Associated Press

A Hayden, Idaho, motorcycle repair business was destroyed by fire early Sunday, the Northern Lakes Fire District said.

Recycled Cycles, 2210 W. Hayden Ave., caught fire at about 3 a.m., said Dean Marcus, fire marshal for Northern Lakes.

Though the cause is officially undetermined, Marcus said it appears the fire started due to some sort of electrical problem.

The blaze destroyed the shop and some storage buildings, Marcus said, adding that the business did not have insurance.

Nine units responded from Northern Lakes, Coeur d’Alene Fire and Kootenai Fire. The call came in from shop owner Hob Blank and his family, who live nearby, Marcus said.
