Veterans Day Celebration – The Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 W. Cleveland, and Community Senior Services are hosting this celebratory dinner for veterans Friday at 5 p.m. Washington State Senator Lisa Brown and Col. Spady A. Koyama of the U.S. Army will speak and the Wings of Swing will provide music for dancing. The cost is $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Classes for Seniors – The Seniors Program at the Community Colleges of Spokane offers a variety of classes. Tuition ranges from $15-$50 for the quarter. For more information, call the senior program office at 279-6025.

Medicare Prescription Drug Discount Card and Transitional Assistance – Elder Services and Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington is offering counseling about the new Medicare Legislation. Many seniors may be eligible for a free discount card and $1,200 toward their medications. If your yearly income is at or below $12,569 for singles and $16,862 for couples you could be eligible.
