Northeast A

The Spokesman-Review

It’s down to one team in one sport for the NEA. The first round of the State 1A football playoffs kicks off Saturday around the state. Freeman (10-0) will host Zillah (8-3) at 1 p.m. at Central Valley High for a spot in next weekend’s semifinals. … Colfax volleyball lost only two games in its state championship run last weekend. Freeman took the seventh-place trophy. The Scotties lost in three games to Kalama in the consolation bracket.
