Associated Press

VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Mike Pringle broke George Reed’s Canadian Football League career rushing record Saturday night, running for 63 yards in the Edmonton Eskimos’ 36-33 overtime loss to the British Columbia Lions.

The 36-year-old Pringle, a former Washington State Cougar who entered the game a yard short of Reed’s mark of 16,116 yards, broke the record with a 10-yard run in the first quarter. Reed also played for WSU.

Pringle finished the game with 16,178 yards in 13 seasons.
