SCOPE open house Saturday

SCOPE East, 4904 N. Harvard Road, is inviting area residents to an open house Saturday. Activities begin at 10 a.m. and include a bicycle safety rodeo, Operation Family ID and other safety events. Children can receive a free bicycle helmet, and adults can pick up free safety gun locks.

Craft tables are available for rent for $10 apiece, and there will be hot dogs, chili, pop and other items for sale. McGruff the Crime Prevention Dog and the Bumble Bee-Safe will be there to visit with children.

Visitors also can meet Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies and volunteers with the Sheriff Community Oriented Policing Effort.

The open house runs until 4 p.m. People interested in renting a sales table or finding out more about this event can contact SCOPE East at 922-3150.
