Nuess makes Olympic trials

Arizona State University sophomore and Gonzaga Prep graduate C.J. Nuess qualified for the 2008 Olympic swimming trials in the 200- and 400-meter individual medleys at the USA National Championships, held Aug. 3-7 in Irvine, Calif.

Nuess, representing Spokane Area Swimming, finished in 18th place in the 400 IM with a time of 4 minutes, 26.35 seconds, and 32nd in the 200 IM (2:08.87). He also competed in the 200 breaststroke, finishing 36th (2:23.78.)
