Season of sharing gift drive under way

The Spokesman-Review

Spokane Valley Community Center is holding its 11th Season of Sharing gift drive.

The program provides gifts to low-income children living in the Spokane Valley. Thanks to the generosity of community donors, 1,880 kids received gifts last year.

Nearly 1,000 children are currently registered for presents and sign-ups will continue through Dec. 16.

The center needs new, unwrapped gifts and stocking stuffers for all ages, including teenagers. Gift wrap and bows also are needed and partially used packages of bows are happily accepted. Donations can be dropped off at Spokane Valley fire stations or at Spokane Valley Community Center, 10814 E. Broadway Ave.

Gifts will be distributed Dec. 20 at Spokane Valley United Methodist Church, 115 N. Raymond. To volunteer or for more information, please call Sharon at 927-1153, ext. 18.
