One of the most important aspects of the GNL softball tournament is earning the No. 2 seed and a bye into the double-elimination round. There are five teams currently in the race for No. 2. Medical Lake (3-3), Pullman (3-3), Riverside (4-4), Lakeside-Nine Mile Falls (5-5) and Chewelah (5-5) are all four games back of league-leading Colville for seeding to the league tournament, which begins May 26. Colville (15-1, 8-0) defeated Idaho 5A Lake City, tied for first in the Inland Empire League, 1-0 on May 4.
