DeVleming certified
The Association of Washington Cities recently awarded Spokane Valley Councilman Mike DeVleming with a Certificate of Municipal Leadership.
He completed 30 hours of classroom work and several workshops on topics like leadership, budgeting, land use and personnel issues, according to a release from the city.
The AWC lobbies state government on issues that affect cities and also offers training to people in city government.
DeVleming was the city’s first mayor and is serving his second term on the council.
