Omak fire under control, sheriff says

From Staff Reports The Spokesman-Review

A mill fire that destroyed several outbuildings in Omak had been contained by late Thursday night, according to a dispatch from the Okanogan County sheriff.

The fire started in the late afternoon at the Colville Indian Plywood and Veneer mill, and crews from around the area responded.

After initial reports that the firefighters were running out of water, the dispatch said that enough water was available.
