Seminar will discuss ways to stay healthy while traveling

The Spokesman-Review

Dr. Richard Gower, who specializes in internal medicine as well as travel medicine and immunizations at the Rockwood Clinic in Spokane, will present “Traveling Well” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday in Room 106 of North Idaho College’s Meyer Health and Sciences Building.

Gower will stress that staying healthy while traveling is a matter of planning, not luck. The seminar will teach about medications, vaccinations, jet-lag prevention, food and beverage consumption and packing tips to help travelers prevent illness or unanticipated health risks.

The series is sponsored by the NIC Wellness Committee, Division of Natural Sciences, Division of Health Professions and Nursing, the Rockwood Clinic, Premera Blue Cross and the Idaho Network of Biomedical Research Education.

It is free and open to the public.
