Grethe Vogel had 10 kills, six aces and four blocks to lead Pullman past Riverside 25-19, 25-19, 25-23 in the championship game of the District 7 2A tournament at Cheney High School.

The Greyhounds will advance to the state tournament at the Yakima SunDome as the No. 1 seed. Kayla Newberg led the Rams with 18 kills and five blocks.

In other playoff action, Colville beat West Valley 25-19, 25-23, 25-16 to set up a match with Riverside to determine who would advance to state as the No. 2 seed. The Rams won 25-27, 25-19, 19-25, 25-23, 15-13 behind Newberg’s 40 kills, three aces and three blocks.

Colville and West Valley are finished for the season.

“Southridge beat Mt. Spokane 27-25, 10-25, 25-22, 17-25, 16-14 in a 3A regional tournament game in Kennewick and ended the Wildcats season. Mt. Spokane had a chance to advance to the state tournament as the No. 1 seed but lost to Hanford earlier in the day.
