ORLANDO, Fla. – LaRod Stephens-Howling ran for 135 yards and three touchdowns as Pittsburgh routed Central Florida 52-7 Friday night.

Lowell Robinson returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a TD to jump-start the Panthers (6-1).

Pitt had been averaging 35.7 points a game, 11th best in the country, and didn’t punt.

Tyler Palko, who entered the game with a 186.51 efficiency rating (second best in NCAA Division I), was 11 of 15 for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
