Jacob Davies recently received the Eagle Scout award, the highest award given by the Boy Scouts. Davies, son of Robert and Sonja Davies of Coeur d’Alene, belongs to Troop 209 in Coeur d’Alene. His Eagle project consisted of installing benches on the disc golf course at Farragut State Park. Davies is a senior at Lakeland High School.

•Caden Michnal, a Sandpoint snowboarder representing Schweitzer Mountain Resort, won first place in boys snowboarding in the Big Air competition at the Sports Illustrated KIDS Next Snow Search.
