Orioles 3, Devil Rays 1: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Daniel Cabrera remained perfect against Tampa Bay and Aubrey Huff hit another homer against his former team in Baltimore’s win over the Devil Rays. Cabrera gave up a run and four hits in seven innings with one walk and three strikeouts.

White Sox 7, Tigers 4: At Detroit, Juan Uribe hit his third career grand slam and Jermaine Dye added a solo shot as Chicago beat the Tigers. Josh Fields also homered for the White Sox, who dealt Detroit its third straight loss and ninth in 11 games.

Blue Jays 6, Rangers 4: At Toronto, Aaron Hill doubled home the go-ahead run in the sixth inning, Roy Halladay struck out nine and the Blue Jays beat Texas for their sixth straight home win. Halladay allowed four runs and seven hits in six-plus innings.

Yankees 7, Royals 1: At New York, Melky Cabrera hit a two-run double and Robinson Cano homered, leading Chien-Ming Wang and the Yankees over Kansas City. Cabrera matched a season high with three hits and Cano went 2 for 3. Alex Rodriguez went 1 for 3 and remained at 499 career homers.

Indians 5, Twins 2: At Minneapolis, Grady Sizemore homered and had four RBIs for Cleveland, which started an important four-game series against Minnesota with a victory. Michael Cuddyer and Torii Hunter had two hits apiece for the Twins.

Athletics 8, Angels 4: At Oakland, Calif., Vladimir Guerrero made a costly throwing error that led to a five-run eighth inning, overshadowing his second consecutive two-homer game as the Athletics beat Los Angeles. Guerrero hit a game-tying two-run homer in the sixth and added a go-ahead shot in the eighth.
