“Life on a Roll” Book Review – Southside Senior Center Writer’s Group book reading. 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Sinto Senior Activity Center, 1124 W. Sinto Ave. Call 327-2861 for more information.

Movin’ and Groovin’ Health Fair – Free screenings for glucose, bone density, peripheral artery/vascular disease and cholesterol. You can also have your blood pressure checked and your strength and balance tested. There also will be free massages and screenings for depression, etc. Vendors will provide a variety of material and will raffle off door prizes. Food and beverages will be available for a nominal fee. Admission is free. Saturday 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 W. Cleveland Ave. Call 327-1584 for more information.

Mad Hatter Dance – Come and spend a festive evening wearing your favorite, most unusual, creative or most colorful hat and dance to the music of “Touch of Class.” 7:30-10 p.m. Saturday at the Sinto Senior Activity Center, 1124 W. Sinto Ave. The cost is $3.50. For more information, call 327-2861.

“The Brain in Bloom”/World Brain Awareness Week Opening Ceremony and Art Show – Art exhibit including various media by seniors 55 and older, ribbon cutting ceremony, proclamation of World Brain Awareness Week and recognition of art exhibit participants. Saturday 9:30 a.m.-noon at the Southside Senior Activity Center, 3151 E. 27th Ave. Continental breakfast is $3. For more information, call 340-1364.
