Harris-mann Climatology The Spokesman-Review

Of 289 records for the week of Sept. 30, 79 were highs, 77 warm minimum temperatures, 23 low temperatures, 56 low maximum temperatures, 49 rainfall and five snowfall.

Of the records, 124 were set Saturday. All high temperature extremes were east of the Rockies. Readings soared into the 80s in the Great Lakes region. Imperial, Neb., recorded 93 degrees Saturday, and Burlington, Iowa, reported 89 and Borger, Texas, 96 on Friday.

All low temperature records were in the West. Bryce Canyon, Utah, dropped to 18 degrees on Sept. 30. Pierre, S.D., had the most rainfall last week with 2.55 inches on Saturday. In Bozeman, Mont., a record 8 inches of snow fell with 1.1 inches measured in Pocatello, Idaho, on Saturday.
