JONATHAN STEWART, OREGON RB

The best running back in the Northwest, a Timberline High (Lacey, Wash.) grad, came close to attending WSU. He leads the Pac-10 in rushing yards (124.6), is 10th in the nation and is the main source of the Ducks’ success. Since the start of last season, Oregon is 9-1 in games he’s run for 100 yards.

CHRIS BALTZER, WSU LINEBACKER

A high school teammate of quarterback Alex Brink, Baltzer is making his second visit to Autzen Stadium. He played in the Cougars’ 2003 rout as a freshman. A number of knee injuries have limited his playing time since, including this year, but he’ll suit up and play today.

PATRICK CHUNG, OREGON ROVER

The 5-foot-11, 210-pound junior plays a highbred position between linebacker and strong safety. He’s tied with cornerback Walter Thurmond for second in tackles with 46 and he leads the Ducks with two interceptions. In run support he’s posted 2.5 tackles for loss and is a big hitter.
