UCLA surprises No. 2 Stanford

Darxia Morris scored 20 points, Lindsay Pluimer added 12 and UCLA upset No. 2 Stanford 69-56 Friday night in Los Angeles, for the first victory over a top-three team in school history.

The Bruins (7-7, 2-1 Pac-10) led nearly the entire game against a Cardinal team that had been blowing out opponents by an average of 20.2 points.

Candice Wiggins had 29 points and 10 rebounds and Jayne Appel added 17 points for Cardinal (12-2, 2-1).

(9) Baylor 84, Texas State 57: At Waco, Texas, Rachel Allison had 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Bears (12-1) to a win over the Bobcats (6-7).

Angela Tisdale added 19 points, Jessica Morrow 12 and Jhasmin Player 11 for Baylor.

(10) California 57, USC 52: At Los Angeles, Devanei Hampton had season highs of 21 points and 13 rebounds as the Golden Bears (12-2, 3-0 Pac-10) overcame a poor shooting night to get by the pesky Trojans (8-6, 1-2).
