Four-time defending State 1A champion Colfax ended Freeman’s bid for an undefeated season with a 46-28 Northeast A League victory over the Scotties Friday in Colfax.

Sadie Lazzarini and Kayla Johnson each scored a game-high eight points to guide the Bulldogs.

Carley Heinen had seven points for Freeman (13-1, 3-1).

Colfax (10-2, 3-0) outscored the Scotties 18-6 in the second quarter to take a 10-point lead into halftime.

Elsewhere in the league, Leslie Stillar scored 20 points to guide Lakeside to a 65-33 win over Newport. The Eagles (8-6, 2-2) outscored the Grizzlies 37-14 in the second half.
