Tuxedo Junction will be performing big band music for the Sweetheart Ball, Feb. 9 at the Greyhound Park Event Center in Post Falls.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. followed by dancing from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $10 each and include free hors d’oeuvres, as well as a no-host bar. All ages are welcome.

Dance competition next Saturday

The Mt. Spokane High School Dance Team will host an invitational dance team competition next Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in its gym at 6015 E. Mount Spokane Park Drive.

Dance teams from schools throughout the area will compete in pompom routines, hop-hop, drill and more.

The theme of the competition is “Dance Your Heart Out.”

Tickets are $3 for students with ID and $5 for adults.
