How to delete your autocomplete

The Spokesman-Review

How do I … stop my browser from autocompleting URL addresses?

Both Firefox and Internet Explorer have the autocomplete feature. The browser remembers past addresses and will supply the full address after you type three or four letters. That’s annoying if you don’t want it to be there.

Here’s how to remove that from Firefox: In the address field, use your mouse to see all the addresses that appear in the drop-down menu. Highlight those you want removed, then use shift+delete.

For Internet Explorer 7, go to Tools and then go to Delete Browsing History. Click OK when asked if you want the history deleted.
