Royals 3, Cardinals 2: At St. Louis, David DeJesus and Alex Gordon hit solo home runs in the eighth inning to rally Kansas City past the Cardinals. Joakim Soria worked a perfect ninth for his 17th save in 18 opportunities.

Twins 11, Nationals 2: At Minnesota, Justin Morneau had three RBIs to help the Twins beat Washington. Carlos Gomez bunted for two of his three singles, scored two runs and drove in a run in the seventh inning for Minnesota.

Braves 5, Rangers 2: At Arlington, Texas, Omar Infante hit a tiebreaking single and Atlanta scored three times in the ninth inning to beat Texas.

Brewers 5, Blue Jays 4: At Milwaukee, Mike Cameron and Russell Branyan homered to help the Brewers earn a win over Toronto.

Yankees 8, Padres 5: At New York, Alex Rodriguez homered for the fourth straight game and the Yankees held off San Diego. Johnny Damon had three hits and two RBIs for New York.

Rockies 4, Indians 2: At Denver, Jeff Baker homered and scored three runs and Jeff Francis pitched six innings of one-run ball as Colorado beat Cleveland. Omar Quintanilla went 2 for 3 and had two RBIs for the Rockies.

Diamondbacks 11, Athletics 1: At Phoenix, dominating his former team, Dan Haren allowed one run and drove in three as Arizona routed Oakland.

Mets 5, Angels 4 (10): At Anaheim, Calif., David Wright singled home the tying run in the ninth and Damian Easley hit a solo homer in the 10th as New York beat Los Angeles.
