A Moscow, Idaho, woman is in satisfactory condition this morning after being injured in a Wednesday night accident in Pullman that involved an impaired driver, according to Washington State Patrol troopers. Hasiba C. Muhic, 21, was airlifted Wednesday to Spokane’s Sacred Heart Medical Center from Pullman Regional Hospital. Troopers booked Nickole Head, 33, of Moscow, into Whitman County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated and vehicular assault. The 8:19 p.m. accident occurred on Highway 270, which runs between Pullman and Moscow, near SE Forest Way. Troopers said Head, who had parked along the highway shoulder, made a U-turn and began driving east in the left-hand westbound lane of the highway. Paola M. Segal, 20, of Sandpoint, who was headed west in the right-hand lane of the highway, hit the brakes and went into the left-hand westbound lane where the vehicles collided, troopers said. Muhic was riding with Segal.
