Weather, travel good for holiday

Cool temperatures and sunshine are in the forecast for today and Christmas. Today’s high is expected to reach 27 while the low will be in the teens. Christmas should be a repeat of today. For holiday travelers, roads are in good shape, officials say. So far, there are no restrictions on Snoqualmie Pass. Beyond Christmas, temperatures are expected to remain in the 20s to low 30s with a chance of snow on Tuesday and Wednesday, weather officials say. One caution for Spokane and Coeur d’Alene residents, the National Weather Service has issued an air stagnation advisory below 3,000 feet elevation through 4 p.m. Saturday. Due to low or no winds, air pollution may increase, according to the Weather Service.
