Three former Gonzaga Bulldogs have lined up roster spots on NBA summer league teams.

Guard Jeremy Pargo will play for Orlando, which is home to a summer league featuring Boston, Oklahoma City, Indiana, Utah and a New Jersey/Philadelphia split team. Games begin Monday.

Forward Josh Heytvelt will be with Washington and guard/forward Micah Downs will play for Phoenix. Both will play in the 21-team Las Vegas summer league. Games in Las Vegas run from July 10-19.

The three ex-Bulldogs weren’t selected in the June 25 draft.

Former Zag Austin Daye, picked in the first round by Detroit, will play with the Pistons’ summer-league team in Las Vegas. He expects to begin preparations Monday.

Summer league rosters typically include a draft pick or two, undrafted prospects, NBA Development Leaguers and NBA journeymen. Players without guaranteed contracts are hoping to hook on with one of 30 NBA teams or earn an invitation to training camp.
